Solihull College cuts it with Simon Paul

Solihull College is celebrating a new partnership with local hairdressing salon, Simon Paul Hair & Beauty, as it becomes its principal Satellite Centre.

The first of its kind for the Hair and Beauty Academy at Solihull College, the Satellite Centre has been created to allow both organisations to work together and share their experience and expertise to benefit the company’s apprenticeship students.

Entering its 21st year in business, Simon Paul is passionate about recruiting and retaining the brightest talent in the industry and provides a dedicated training academy for its employees. 

The in-house training academy, which runs for two days each week, allows the apprentices to build up the relevant knowledge in hairdressing skills, as well as develop hands-on experience in a professional working environment.

The highly-experienced team from Solihull College will visit the company’s salons in Knowle and Solihull on a regular basis to make sure each learner meets the standards required for achieving the NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing, awarded by QCF.

Solihull College offers a range of hairdressing qualifications for school leavers and adults, which can be studied at both the Blossomfield and Woodlands Campuses in recently developed, state-of-the-art hairdressing salons.
